“I must say the Shark HP102 was not my first choice. I wanted the Shark HP152 air purifier, but after trying (unsuccessfully) to find the replacement filter for the HP 152, I decided to just go ahead and get this one. I was able to easily find the replacement filters so I ordered the air purifier and extra filters together. The unit and filters arrived in 2 days, neatly and securely packaged. The air purifier came with set up instructions that were very easy to understand. There is also a manual you can download for more in depth instructions. I set it on “auto” and it’s been on, (I think?.. because it’s so quiet) doing its thing for 3 days. It took about 2 hours to bring my air quality up to 100%. (In appx 540 sq. ft area) Since then of course, the air quality varies- depending upon what is going on in the household, like cooking etc. It appears to be very sensitive to changes in air quality and reacts accordingly. The display readout is nicely arranged and user friendly. The fan settings (4) range from lowest, “I can’t hear it- is it even running?” to highest, which is no louder than a normal household fan. I mainly wanted an air purifier because no matter how often I dusted, my house was still dusty… I am extremely happy with the results! I know it’s only been 3 days so far, but there is just no dust anywhere! I am very satisfied with my purchase and would recommend it.” — Becky R

“Absolutely love my Shark air purifier, less allergies, less orders. I have three pets and have always been concerned about pet odors in my home and that led me to order this for my living room and entry way to my home so pets/cooking odors will not be the first smell that welcomes you in my home. This is not my fist Shark air purifier, I was so impressed with my other that I am now convinced that they are so very helpful with allergens, dust/dander and odors.
I use the auto setting and basically leave it to do its job and it does it so well as you can see in my video, it is normally at 100% but will quickly kick on while I am cooking, forest fires in the area, pollens/odors in the air etc… I have noticed that my elderly fathers bad cough (related to allergies) is so much improved, I told his doc that I am using the Shark purifies now and he said most definitely that would help, my cat who has asthma is also coughing much less as well. “We have 2 full dogs who are over 100 pounds and have long hair. They bring in all kinds of dust, dirt and dander. We live in a forest next to a field. There is constant dirt and debris around. My asthma symptoms have increased since moving here. We got this for the bedroom. I noticed a sudden decrease in dust in our bedroom. I also like the white noise it provides. Which is minimal. “Ive had my shark for a little over 5 months. I leave it on in my bedroom in the evening and at night and by the time i go to bed it usually at 96% clean so the power is reduced automatically to save on filter use so the noise is just a low hum. You can turn off the machines light to help you sleep also. Recently it did not move from 0% so i ran a vacuum brush accross the sensors in back to clean them, and thats all it needed. It once again filters correctly. I didnt think this machine was cleaning much out of the air but when i pulled the filter out a few days ago to have a look, it was covered with dust that i would have been breathing.
